 Vogue Nippon
June 2011
Model: Anja Rubik

Ah I love Japan Vogue, even with their reluctance to use, you know, use actual Asian models in their spreads. This shoot I love even more because it combines a variety of my favorite styles; punk, rock, prep and masculine.

I'm interested by the usage of model Anja Rubik, who I normally associate with the 'sexy' concept but she pulls off these semi-masculine looks very well.
This is probably my favorite look. There's just so much going on but it all comes together perfectly. You've got the prep (button down) with the exposed socks and rolled cuff jeans. And the thing that tops it off? That statement studded jacket. *drools* I love this outfit and it's simple enough that I'd rock it for every day wear.

There's just something so boyish about a cutoff vest. I'm not so much a fan of leather cut off bests but I love the denim ones.

I adore the jeans. Adore them.
