Music Post : Mindless Self Indulgence @ 2:30 PM
Putting your iPod on shuffle is a dangerous, dangerous thing, especially when you've got over 20,000 songs on it. You'll inevitably get an Elton John song, a random Asian pop song and. . .some MSI.
What is MSI? MSI is Mindless Self Indulgence, a.k.a. music I listened to when I thought I was badass.
I kind of loved MSI and, hey maybe I still do. Don't hate me for it. Lyn Z is basically the girlcrush to end all girlcrush and Jimmy Urine is a crazy fucker.
I remember being in college and blasting Bitches on my stereo, screaming along to it with Natasha. My favorite song of theirs was a toss up between Straight To Video (which was the first song I'd heard) and Faggot.
I even remember going to a concert of theirs and being totally amazed and in awe. By the way, if you ever get a chance to go to an MSI concert, you should probably go. The one I went to had:
(1) Jimmy Urine making out with a random girl in the audience. He literally pulled her out of the crowd and stuck his tongue down her throat.
(2) Jimmy Urine putting out his lit cigarette on Steve, Righ?'s tongue. Badass, I tell you.
(3) Jimmy Urine flashing everyone his penis.
So yeah, their concerts get pretty wild and crazy. I heard that in a previous one, Jimmy lit his pubic hair on fire. Huh. But anyways, if you know their songs, it's so easy to get caught up in the crowd and scream your hearts out with the rest of the fans. I honestly can't wait until they get together again. Dude, you guys are based in New York! Come back!!!
