One of the main reasons I admired Daul Kim was her ability to stand up for herself and her intelligence compared to other models her age. One noticeable incident involved a slight tiff between her and. . .well, most of Korea.

To be a Korean model gives a lot more cultural responsibility, maybe too much for Daul Kim. Korea is a very conservative country and when Daul Kim posed topless for i-D magazine, the Korean citizens went crazy batshit mad. In response to their anger, Daul wrote on her blog:

its 2009 , it aint the 70's we dont have 11pm curfew and skirt length regulations
