old people ew @ 11:23 AM

HAH!
So no matter how many times my mom tries to friend me on Facebook, I keep hitting that DENY button. Why? There's aspects of my life I'd like to keep private. ALSO, she spends ALL HER TIME on Facebook. It's pretty embarrassing. I'll come home from work, she's on Facebook. It'll be 3AM, she's on Facebook. She does all those stupid ridiculous games like Farmville (WHY?) and sends drinks and stuffed animals to people. Oh, Mom. Find a hobby.
Anyways, on
Jezebel (one of my favorite blogs), they talked about
Old People Now Announcing Breakups On Facebook.
It's a funny read. And a read that leaves you with a case of second hand embarrassment.
When Facebook went from exclusively colleges to everyone and anyone, I was disappointed. After coming from the creepiness of Myspace (where I'd get hounded by people wanting to photograph my feet or have me walk on them), Facebook was a nice change of pace. A sense of privacy in a social networking world. And then they let everyone in. And it went to chaos.
Oh well. I keep my page pretty private. Only people that I've actually met and had conversations with, and some people I've known from high school. Once in a while I go through it and weed out people I don't actually talk to.
If you want a funny read, go to
Lamebook. And then click under the Family section. Lots of laughs there.
